My final christmas card of 2011, this one for my daughter. I created the SVG paper piecing, the banner I simply cut by hand, I embossed the white background with fiskars snowflakes and stamped with studio G stamp. I hope you like, maybe I have inspired one of you?

Is everyone ready for Santa's visit in just 12 days??? Can you believe it!!!! We have been very busy here, OK truth be told I have been very busy. We have "Fred" visiting our elf on the shelf, I am also hosting Christmas this year our first family Christmas 'home' in 20 years although it will be at my grandmothers house to make it easier on her, my dad will be here 1st time he will be with us ON Christmas since we moved here in 4 years, but shhhh!!! that's a secret. He will be arriving mere minutes before my kiddies take the stage for their Christmas Concert on Dec 20th....how exciting!!!! Needless to say I have been channeling my inner Martha Stewart & Betty Crocker like C.R.A.Z.Y!!! Gotta have that just right Christmas we did back in the day. I am however gonna take this minute to show all you all one of the Christmas cards I just completed, I'll be back with a couple more too!!!!

Here is my Happy Holidays Pup for my Boyfriend whose other girlfriend is his bulldog Lex, I created the SVG, stamped with Studio G stamp, embossed with fiskar snowflakes thanks to my cuttlebug, seriously no time to do it the old fashioned way, and topped with a bow which I hope is not too 'girly'.

I hope you likey!!!! maybe I have inspired one of you?

Hello Bloggers!!!!

Today I actually have summin' to show you, say what??? yup I sure do.

I decided today was the day to suck it up, lost mojo or not christmas cards need to be done, so here it is my first...... in gulp TWO years!!!!

I used:

Fiskars snowflakes embossing plate for the base

Cuttlebug swiss dots for the scalloped circle

an svg paper piecing for the reindeer

random ribbon and due drops to embellish

I think its kinda cute considering, I hope you like it too!!!!

Stay tuned bloggers while I may appear not to be doing anything lately or in a LONG time, I have been learning more about sure cuts alot and how to make my own paper piecings which I will be sharing with you real soon!!!!

Birthday Butterflies

Yup another Birthday Card!!!! This one for my "sister-in-la-la" apperently I got so busy with birthdays this month I forgot to share. I think from now on when I meet people I am gonna ask "whens your birthday?" If they answer "may" or "june" my response will be "sorry we cant be friends" lol. Anyways.....the 3D butterflies are SCAL with a little bling, generic glitter glue that is my fav and I cant find more of :(, I have embossed the back ground with swiss dots by cuttlebug and punched it with fiskars threading water. The stamp is studio g, and then topped her off with a ribbon bow. Pretty simple but I love it!!!

Tues is my sons 7th birthday, he is constantly stealing my ipod to play angry birds, so I made hime this birthday card. Personally I dont "get" angry birds, I only got the app to see what it was all about, maybe I am not one of the "kewl kids" but I just dont see the appeal, and I would really like my ipod back, is 7 too young for their own ipod???? lol

Race to 6

As crafters we all face struggles with our hobby, my top 3 struggles are

1. Loss of mojo

2. Masculine items

3. Not knowing the recipient

Today I faced all my struggles, this weekend my daughter has a birthday party to attend for a 6 year old lil boy in her class....hmmm struggle 2 (boy) and 3 (dont know said boy), and if you have been reading my blog or should I say not reading my blog because there hasnt been much here to read you know 1 (no mojo) has been an issue for some time.

but I did it!!! wanna see??? ok fine.... I said I faced my fears didnt say I did it well but its ok!!!

Nope your eyes are not deceiving you I did actually make something. I did however have to force myself to create after a month? of nothingness, is it the winter blues or the my new found interest in photography thats keeping me away? I dont know. Even tho I had to force it, I think it turned out to be one of my fav LOs :) I hope you like it too, maybe it will inspire you if you are going through this tough patch of winter too.

Some of you may recall me talking about a friend of ours that is a country Singer, my 5yr old dd is in "love" with him, she locks herself in her room for hours listening to his cd and goes CRAZY!!! when she hears him on the radio or tv. Of course she pulls the total shy act when we talk to him or she spots him at starbucks or where ever. Anyways today I made her this shirt to wear when I take her to see him preform. I think it will be a nice keepsake to go with the guitar autographed signature guitar he gave her this summer.
The front is his logo and on the back it says "Jerrys Biggest Lil Fan"

I used the freezer paper method for this if you havent heard of it YOUTUBE!!!

Fall @ Cooking with Cricut

Its Wednesday so you know what that means, another great day over at Cooking with Cricut !!! This week we challange you to use your fall colors. Today I decided to inspire you with a LO rather than a card. Now here fall colors are a little different than what you may normally think of when you hear fall colors. As I look out my window today I dont see all the wonderful oranges reds and yellows, I see grumpy greys and dull greens and browns with a little bit of orange and yellow peeking through the last leaves that are barely hanging onto their beautiful colors, so with that said now you understand how I came up with my colors for this LO.

Its time

There is no more denying it, its time. The parkas and mittens are pulled out from their summer storage and the weatherman has become my least fav person(although he is very handsome). 8:19pm tonight I plan to be fast asleep so I do not see sight of the first flakes. Yup its that time again so with that I bring you my first christmas card of the year.
I used an adorable digital stamp I found on free digital stamps (I am sorry I am not sure whom its by)
I inked my fiskar embossing plate before embossing
I used KutUpsFont(scal) for the bracket
whole lotta pop dots to make it pop
also some Purdy ribbon I picked up today at dollarama for the bow.

Something Sweet

So today I created these Pumpkin poops to share with you. I dont buy halloween candy since we are out trick or treating ourselves so I thought I would make something special for my minis.

Linda Castro was nice enough to share with me the pumpkin poop poem for the inside that reads:

Good After, today I bring you this card I made for a 6 year old girls birthday my ds is attending this weekend. I dont know the girl real well, ds was less than helpful, so going with the theme that I got her a toy story toy and a toy story gift bag I made this toy story card, Yes I chickened out and did the easiest character of them all, man some of those guys have alot "parts" However I am just returning after a major loss of mojo so I didnt want to push myself too much =)

My Last DT Project for Cardabilities

I am sad to be bringing you my last reveal for Cardabilities, I really did love being apart of this AWESOME group, with wonderful sketches to work with each month. I decided not to stay on with Cardabilities not because I didnt enjoy it but because I know how exciting it is to be accepted onto a design team and after two terms with Cardabilities I thought it was time for someone else to feel the honor.

So here it is!!! my last reveal, but dont worry I am not leaving the cardmaking world and will be posting plenty now that I am home alone 3 hours a day WHOOOOHOO!!! I will just have to come up with my own ideas from now on HA!!! Could get interesting stay tuned lol. I made this card for my dd to give her teacher on the first day of school, I digital stamped the bingo card---if you were paying attention I used it before on a LO ;) I cut the apple with SCAL, border is a cheap knock off I got for $2 :P "September" is a rub-on. Papers I do believe are K&Company, but who really knows I am not that organised to actually know that.

For my Layout I used CTMH paper, SCAL for the letters/numbers and the apple I designed myself, Skittles and lots of em', tine for the bow cause I think its masculine and I dont do male projects well ;). I printed my own bingo card in french because my ds attends an all french school and ecole fit while school didnt, and I used a rubon that fit perfectly for the FREE space. Once I was done I hated it too much negative space too boring so I used a fiskar embossing plate to emboss the background and sanded it again for the masculine look and VOLA!!! I am happy =o)

Here is my take on this weeks sketch, a simple Grad card for my DS who graduated kindergarden yesterday =)

I made a svg file from one of Dustin Pikes digital stamps LOVE HIM!!!!

Leave it to weaver punch for the border...see you dont HAVE to use it with ribbon

Papers and "the graduate" sticker I just found in my stash from various companies, I thought worked well for this card.

New Laptop for me

so as some of you have known I was in desperate need of a new laptop, I really wanted a pink one but the guilty mom in me couldnt foresee spending an extra $400 on a laptop just so I could get one in pink. Yes I know there are more features than just being Pink that cost the extra $400 but they were features I didnt need. So I shopped around and found the cheapest one I could find with everything I needed, but it wasnt pink :( So the crafty mom that I am took over and made it pink :) I think this is a much better alternative for me anyways cause now when I get over the pink thing I can change it to what ever color I wan,t I dont have to go out and buy a new computer ever time :) and thats the thrifty mom talking :) So what do you think????

This is a very important LO to me as it is one of the only pictures I have of my grandfather who passed in 2006. I like it but I don't know if it got everything that he deserves. Hmmm gonna have to sit on this one and think about it for awhile.

Journaling reads "while I have had many of men to look down upon, there are a few that I look up to" Everything is digitally stamped and CTMH papers. I used Got Sketch's Sketch # 69 thank you got sketch for the inspiration.

After seeing everyone elses great gifts they have made with their cricut vinyl and etching cream I had to give it a try. Actually I had bought the supplies a couple weeks ago when Ms was clearing out thier christmas items I got my hands on the glass ornanments 4 for $0.84 so I bought all they had left and etching cream I am ready for christmas 2010 hehehehe!!!! but in the mean time its a friends bday and I needed a gift so today I made this set of shot glasses for him 2 have 2010 etched on them and one his last name. Hope he likes em' hes one of those what the heck do you get? for people. They are not perfect but they are handmade :D

I donteven know how to explain this one just know I needed this for someone lol. I designed the skeleton/candy canes with??? you guessed it scal. It was looking a lil plain so I cut the background paper up added eyelets and tied it up with leather I had in my stash, I thought it suited the goth style to this card :D Its had to tell from the pic but the background is embossed with fiskar snowflakes template and then scored several times.

WOW I made a girl layout with "boy" embellishments, but I love it!!!!
This layout of my daughter eating a 24 inch hotdog at a famous beach side hamburg stand a few years ago. My daughter is a big eater (and yet so tiny) so when I saw this on the menu and the scrapbooker that I am I had to order it for her just for the pictures. Shes loves hotdogs wish I caught a pic of her when she saw this baby lol. No she didnt eatthe WHOLE thing, gosh things we do to get THAT picture huh? lol

Practical Scrappers Sewing
